Dinner at the Frandsen's!

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

We have the best Home Teachers ever!  They are so faithful to come each month, teach the children, and offer blessings when needed.  I am truly blessed for having them.   They invited us and Sofia's kids over for the evening and we roasted hot dogs, played with the animals, boated, fished, and played in the sand and trampoline.  Their home was a little paradise and the kids had so much fun, they didn't want to leave!
The didn't have "smarshmellows" to roast, but they did have ice cream!
The hot dogs were a perfect addition to the cool breeze and good company...
Morgan felt right at home!  She even made the big labrador "Charlie" fall in love with her....
The little canoe provided lots of entertainment...
And they didn't catch a fish, well, almost did, but Charlie was determined to get one and got in the pond a few time trying to win a fish for us!  So funny.

Finally, it is beginning to feel like Summer will get here!  And it looks as though it will be one our best summers yet!

The Pink Cast!

Here is Morgan shortly after getting her new pink cast on!  Now it is fully covered with signatures and drawings!     She will wear it for 3 weeks and then she is free to hot tub again!

Mother's Day!

Mother's day was wonderful!  I spent the early part of the day at church with my ward family.  Our primary sang in Sacrament meeting and did so good!  My calling is very challenging to me, and I am often found grumbling about it every Sunday morning.  But, the primary children have taken claim on my heart and I absolutely love them!

Afterwards, I got to spend time with my kids and had a wonderful dinner at Sophia's house!  She has kids who are the same age as mine and ride the same bus, and are in the same class at school, live in the same building, and are in the same class as church!  What a blessing to have such a great family to share the day with!

Happy Mother's Day went out to my mom, Wanda, my step-Mom, Kim, and my mother-in-law, Julie!  I am blessed to have many fantastic mother's as examples in my life.  Thank you to all of you who make me a better mother!

Too much fun!

Our house is an open to door to most little people and they flock here, always making our home a cheerful and fun place to be.  We are very grateful for all the friends we have made here!

Heber City, Utah

I love this little town.  I wake up to sunny snow capped mountains and a beautiful view of the valley.  This is what I discover while driving the kids to school in the morning.....!  Happy!

Look who broke her arm....

Poor Morgan broke he arm.  Sling for a week and cast for 3.  The scooter she was riding bucked her off.

Trafalga for Mason's Birthday!

Monday, May 7, 2012

It is tradition for me to take the kids somewhere super fun for their birthday and we took Mason, my other 3 kids, and two of his friends to Trafalga in Lehi.  We got the "Pass of all Passes" (which is super cool) for cheap!
The breeze was a bit chilly for me, even though it was sunny and warm.  It didn't bother Gray!
If you know me, you KNOW I love games.  I love to compete with the kids.  You should have seen us at air hockey.  I killed!

Austin was with us this weekend and added to the fun!  We love that kid!

Mason and his friends kept themselves very busy and we didn't see them most of the time because of the lazer tag, golfing, and other fun things....

I had so much fun celebrating Mason's birthday.  I hope he did too.

I love you Sunshine.  You make me so proud and very happy.

The Avengers!!!

We made some new friends, Sophia and her 3 boys, Cory, Tristen, and Gabriel who are the same ages as my youngest three, ride the same busses, attend the same schools (even class in one case), and even church classes!  We are so glad to have them here.  Sophia invited us to see Avengers on Friday night with them and we had a blast.  First of all I loved the movie!!!!  Ironman!  Thor!!!  Droool!  I laughed out loud often and enjoyed having all the kids have so much fun together.  Sophia is pretty amazing too!  Thanks for the fun night guys!

Mason turned 8! Come have some cake!

We waited until the apartment children gathered together, and we flew a kite, played with Mason's birthday toys....
And then we opened the doors with music, popcorn, Popsicles, and the children came in droves......got to love this place!!

Then we had cake and let the balloons go and played for hours!

Mason turned 8 at school!

...and super cool cupcakes came with superhero designs and icing that turned your teeth colors!  Awesome!
